FoilMarket.eu is a peer-to-peer marketplace for Pokémon TCG cards. We connect buyers and sellers; we are not a party to individual transactions between users.
You must be 18 or older (or 16 with parental consent under Austrian law). One account per person. You are responsible for your account security.
Listing is free. FoilMarket charges 5% of the final sale price (3% for Pro sellers). Stripe payment processing fees (~1.5% + €0.25) are additional and charged by Stripe directly. Fees are deducted before payout.
Private sellers (non-commercial) are not required to accept returns under EU consumer law. Commercial sellers must comply with the 14-day right of withdrawal. Clearly indicate in your listing whether you are a commercial or private seller.
Contact us at disputes@foilmarket.eu for help. We mediate but cannot compel outcomes in peer-to-peer disputes. Escalation to EU ODR platform is available.
Counterfeit cards, proxy cards, cards graded higher than their actual condition, and any item not related to the Pokémon TCG are prohibited. Violations result in immediate account suspension.
FoilMarket acts solely as a venue connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction and do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of listings. To the maximum extent permitted by Austrian and EU law:
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death/personal injury caused by our negligence, as required by Austrian law (ABGB).
All payments are processed by Stripe. When a buyer completes checkout, the payment is split: 95% of the item price plus shipping goes to the seller's connected Stripe account, and 5% is retained as the platform fee. Seller payouts are processed by Stripe within 2-3 business days. Payments are not held pending delivery unless otherwise stated.

Upon suspension: active listings are removed, pending payouts are held for 90 days (or until disputes are resolved), and the user will be notified via email with the reason for suspension. Users may appeal by contacting disputes@foilmarket.eu within 30 days.
You may delete your account at any time. Outstanding transactions must be completed or cancelled before deletion. Transaction records are retained for 7 years per Austrian commercial law.
These terms are governed by Austrian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Austrian courts in Vienna, except where mandatory EU consumer law provides otherwise.

Payments are processed immediately via Stripe at checkout. The seller receives their payout within 2-3 business days via Stripe Connect. If you experience an issue with your order, you can:
Use the Messages feature to contact the seller directly. Most issues can be resolved with a quick conversation.
If you can't resolve it directly, email disputes@foilmarket.eu with: your username, the listing ID, a description of the issue, and photos if applicable.
Our team will review the case within 48 hours and propose a resolution. We may ask both parties for additional information.
Possible outcomes include: full refund, partial refund, return & refund, or case dismissed. Both parties will be notified of the decision.
As an EU-based platform, you can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Everything you need to know before your first buy or sale. ~3 minutes to read.
FoilMarket is EU-only right now. Pick your country at signup (Stripe requires it — it's where your card has to be issued and where your parcels can be shipped to). Email and username are the only other things we need.
If the seller accepts offers on a listing, you'll see a "Make offer" button next to Buy Now. Offers are binding — if the seller accepts, you're expected to pay. You have three possible outcomes:
If you accept an offer but genuinely can't pay, click "Cancel…" on the Offers row. You'll be asked for a reason; the seller can approve (offer closes, you owe nothing) or reject (you still have to pay). Please don't ghost — it blocks the listing for everyone else.
The seller has 3 working days to ship. You'll see the order in Dashboard → Orders and get a notification + email when they mark it shipped. If it's tracked, you'll see the parcel number right on the order row.
When the card arrives, open the order and click "Confirm Received" — this unlocks a ⭐ Rate Seller button. Ratings are the entire trust system here; honest ones help good sellers get more sales and warn others about bad actors.
Note on payments: your payment transfers to the seller's Stripe balance the moment checkout completes — there's no escrow hold. "Confirm Received" is a trust + rating signal, not a money gate. If the item never arrives or was misrepresented, email disputes@foilmarket.eu within 7 days and we'll mediate. EU ODR is also available per consumer-protection law.
Go to Dashboard → Payments and click "Connect Stripe". This opens Stripe Express, where you'll verify your identity, add a bank account, and enter tax info. You can't create listings until Stripe confirms your account. After that, payouts route automatically after every sale.
Click Sell in the nav. Choose single card or sealed product, search the catalog for the exact card, set condition + language + price + quantity. Photos are optional (we fall back to the official artwork) but your own front/back shots convert much better for higher-value cards.
Per-listing shipping: set tracked and/or untracked rates for Austria, intra-EU, and optional "worldwide". You must offer at least one option. Buyers pick at checkout.
The listing form shows the current market price (aggregated from Scrydex). Pricing ~5% below market surfaces you near the top of a card's page — buyers sort by price by default. Don't underprice too aggressively; decent margin + good photos converts faster than lowest-price + blurry phone shot.
If you opt into offers on a listing, they arrive in Dashboard → Offers (Incoming). Three responses:
If a buyer accepts then asks to cancel, you'll see a Cancel requested state with their reason. Approve (listing goes back on the market, buyer owes nothing) or Require payment (offer returns to accepted and they have to pay).
You'll get an instant notification + email the moment payment completes. Check Dashboard → Orders for the buyer's shipping address. You have 3 working days to:
Payment hits your Stripe balance the second checkout completes — instantly, no escrow. Stripe's default payout schedule pays out to your bank every 2–7 business days (you can tighten or loosen this in your Stripe dashboard).

€19.99/month. Breakeven is around €1,000/month in item sales (the 2-point fee saving covers the subscription). Also unlocks the Pro Seller badge on your profile and listings — builds trust faster than zero-history accounts.
